The legal opinion details the extent of the alleged involvement of the “Bush Six”. The accused comprise of former US government legal advisors – headed by the former US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales – who established the legal framework which the CCR say “materially contributed” to the alleged torture of suspected terrorists. The CCR considers this petition is necessary on the ground that the Obama administration appears unwilling to take such action.
