This is an exciting time to join what is essentially a start-up organisation, bringing in the two former bodies of the Equality Authority and the Irish Human Rights Commission. The IHREC is accountable to the Oireachtas for its statutory function and has a broad legislative mandate to protect and promote human rights and equality and to encourage the development of a culture of respect for human rights, equality, and intercultural understanding in the state.
